21 TAHUN

Hari ini anak kedua saya genap berumur 21 tahun. Saperti biasa , tiada hadiah dari saya, cuma sepucuk surat sebagai peringatan yang semua kita makin hari makin hampir ke penghujung jalan maut . 

Dearest Liyana,

21 years ago today, I cuddled you in my arm and recited the Azan . I burst into tears too happy to received you after 15 years from the birth of your brother. All of our families from kampong to Kuala Lumpur were overjoyed to receive you. You were and are still indeed very special.

There are so many things I admire in your character including your eeman, your perseverance, your kindness, your selflessness, your generosity, your wisdom and countless other excellent qualities. There are so many additional attribute your possess, including your determination, that can cause us incredible joy ! We know you are not perfect, nor are we, but it is His grace and mercy in our lives that have taught our family to be thankful ( syukur ) to Him. 

If ever there is tomorrow when we're  not together , there is something you must always remember:

You are braver than you believe,

stronger than you seem

smarter than you think. 

But the most important thing is , even if we’re apart....PRAY that I will be with you one day in JANNAH , Inshaa Allah .
